During pregnancy, the mother plays an important role in this regard. </span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Instrument & Methods: </span></span></b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">This descriptive-analytic study was conducted during 2018 with participation of 122 children with type 2 diabetes. Sampling by non-probable and ready-made method was conducted by examining the records of patients with diabetes referring to the office of the physicians of the children of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.</span></span><b> </b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Data were analyzed in SPSS 21 software.</span></span><b> </b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Pearson correlation test was used to analyze the data.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Findings: </span></span></b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">The mean serum calcium level was 9.45&plusmn;0.85mg/dl and the average serum levels of vitamin D were 10.99&plusmn;1.14ng/ml. Serum vitamin D levels were divided into three levels of severe deficiency, mild and natural deficiency. </span></span><span cambria="" lang="EN" style="font-family:">Body mass index and diabetes time based on vitamin D and calcium group showed a significant difference between groups.</span> <span style="background:white"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"></span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Conclusion:</span></span></b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:"> The role of several micronutrients in ensuring adequate growth in children is well known.
