en Descriptive & Survey <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Aims:</span></span></b> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">Septal deviation is one of the common causes of the unilateral blockage of the nasal airway, which may lead to trauma to nose and the middle part of the face.</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of septovlasty surgery on the function</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">of</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">&nbsp;the</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">eustachian</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">tube</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">and</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">middle</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">ear</span></span> <span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="letter-spacing:.1pt">pressure.</span></span><span style="background:white"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif"></span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Instrument & Methods:</span></span></b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:"> This study is a prospective cohort that was performed during 2019 with the participation of 70 patients after septoplasty surgery in the hospitals of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. Middle ear pressure was measured before and after surgery using a MADSEN tympanometer and the results were compared.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:">Findings:</span></span></b><span style="background:white"><span cambria="" style="font-family:"> After septoplasty by eustachian tube function, for 56 patients on the opposite side of the nasal septum and on the opposite side of the nasal septum, 14 patients with 14 patients with bilateral deviation were removed, -3.89&plusmn;51.52 and -13.04&plusmn;60.59, respectively.
